The Usumacinta River is a river of Mexico southern tributary of the Gulf of Mexico along 560 km. It rises in the hills of Guatemala , serves as the border to the Mexican state of Chiapas and through the tropical forests of Tabasco and Campeche before emptying into the Bay of Campeche.
