Inventions, discoveries, introductions
- Discovery Hjortspring (Denmark) in 1921-1922 to a warship with 150 weapons surrounded wooden shields, 138 spear points and 20 coats of mail. All wood, with an oar-rudder to starboard, the boat is assembled without a nail, by wooden pegs, without mast or keel or sail.
- Appearance of the first runic inscriptions (alphabet Futhark ). The Germans of the Middle Danube have taken this writing alphabets derived from the Etruscan writing used by subalpine populations. The runic script is essentially epigraphic, the letters are engraved in stone to form entries. The Germans quickly abandon the continent this writing, which will continue in Scandinavia via Denmark.
