The Mur

MUR (Modular, Urban and Reactive) is a 1901 association founded in March 2003 whose purpose is "the promotion of contemporary art and especially the urban art. " ^History

Unofficial first period (May 2000-March 2001)

From May 2000, double the billboard at the intersection of streets and Oberkampf Saint Maur (in the eleventh district of Paris) becomes a "spot" of street art in Paris. , Atlas , Jean Faucheur ).

unofficial second period (March 2001-January 2003)

The circle widens in 2002 in an ephemeral group of several dozen artists. The purpose of this group, called One night, is to replace overnight advertising posters of the eleventh district by original works of 4 meters by 3 made in the workshop. The group claims three actions May 24, 2002, 9 May 2003 and May 20, 2005.

Following the same spirit of transformation of space advertising face of aggression, the articles of association shall be deposited in the MUR 2003. . The Committee on Art in the city gives a positive opinion in September 2005. . The official opening takes place in the presence of Georges Sarre , Thursday, January 25, 2007. The first poster "legally bonded" is signed by Gerard Zlotykamien.
