Summary |
Since its internationalization (greatly facilitated by the development of a network of audiovisual communication in the world ) in the early twenty-first century, urban art, as a movement of contemporary art asserts itself in a variety of practices that can not be strictly separated by some aspect of street art as Madonnaro.
Thus, ZEVS (aka: Area visual and sound experience) performs regular performances that are echoes of disciplines such as juggling or happenings. As such, it could be described as street artists. Similarly, a portion of the work of Banksy may be described as pop art by Paul Ardenne terminology when it comes for example in a museum exhibit illegally. Absurd propaganda by Shepard Fairey, OBEY the Giant , is a borderline case of zeitgest. John Hamon uses the techniques of street art to raise the issue of promoting the artist by displaying a photocopied portrait. In line Buren or Christo , the work of JR (artist) questions the limits of the city. Urban art must be understood as a relationship dialectics of street art and land art (Pierre-Evariste Dower). The development of the Brazilian scene (especially in So Paulo, where all display advertising was banned) said that the graffiti , especially with Pixao History Urban art flourished in France since (at least) in May 1968 , but the movement is "formalized" in the early 1980s , influenced by, among others, to Agnes b. and occasionally (exhibitions, supports the tag) of Jack Lang. Recently renamed street art, urban art is an artistic movement or autonomous parallel to the tag, and graffiti. Its initiators are names Zlotykamien , Daniel Buren , Ernest Pignon-Ernest , his pioneer Blek le Rat , Jerome Mesnager , Miss.Tic. In the early 1980s, it was Jean Faucheur , the Brothers Ripoulin , Muslims smoking , the VLP and Miss.Tic , Nemo , and Andre. With the arrival of Invader and Zevs (nonymous the @) in the late 1990s appears to call it post-graffiti. Since the late 90s, with the arrival of artists like Shepard Fairey in the United States of Banksy in England, Blu in Italy Influenza in the Netherlands, Sweden Akayism, urban art is a the first international artistic movements. Present urban art as an art movement is justified insofar as its representatives (Zevs, Shepard Fairey, Space Invader, Banksy, Ron Franais) are directly related, constituting an artistic field interaction as illustrated by the film Banksy. For example, Space Invader to open a gallery in 2003 that received Shepard Fairey. Just as the Impressionists and Cubists rubbed, urban artists are creating in orchestration, a single body. In a word, they expose all in the same gallery: the street. These artists share an activity (illegal or not) of urban interventions. The main difference with the graffiti "traditional" (or hip-hop , as he was born in the U.S. ) is that urban artists have not consistently use the letter (as is the case in writing American) and spray tool. The goals are varied: such as the graffiti show a name, or if an image of street art posters painted by Jean Faucheur , serigraphs Ernest Pignon-Ernest , stencils Spliff Trigger, of Pixal Parazit, Epsylon Point or to yet Jef Aerosol , posters, stickers and copies of John Hamon or photographs of Antonio Gallego. Others have more political intentions as VLP (Vive La Peinture) Zeman Kojito that stick in the streets of Paris by making him say the fundamentals like: "I exist", "I stand", "I am a piece utopia "... Most just want their art to be seen by the public, and to express themselves. Others, like Cedric Bernadotte questions the public space by proposing to reclaim a place with cellophane, scotch, economic and accessible materials . In recent movements there is the mixture of graffiti and video. It is the work of an artist like Blu makes the animation from the street . It is possible to combine different techniques. The stencil requires in particular the use of paint, usually spray; the poster can be the support of stencils , etc.. Installation of American Mark Jenkins Dead end?
