The Star of David
The Star of David, the oldest complete copy of the Masoretic text , the Leningrad Codex , dating from 1008.

The star of David ( Hebrew : : or literally "Shield of David") is the symbol of Judaism. It consists of two equilateral triangles: one pointing upward and one downward. Today, it is found particularly on the flag of the State of Israel.

It represents, according to Jewish tradition, the emblem of King David and would be both a symbol of the Messiah (Davidic lineage).

One could say that "Star of David" is historical, while the term "Seal of Solomon" has a connotation, a value, a magical atmosphere. Same denotation but different connotations.
