On October 6 1942 , they merged under the name of Aubervilliers - Boulevard de la Villette.
This is the 10 February 1946 , it took its current name due to the victory of the Red Army ( USSR ) at the Battle of Stalingrad , which pitted him against the German Army (the Third Reich ) from September 1942 to February 1943. The city of Stalingrad (of Stalin ) has since been renamed Volgograd. Despite the crimes of Stalin or the station name or the name of the place near which it is located ( Place de la Bataille de Stalingrad ) were changed because they refer to the event history, not the Soviet city.
