A sacred text (also known as book sacred ) aims to describe the formation of the universe and the laws that govern it. Sacred texts vary greatly from culture to another, although certain features are common. For example, the story of the Flood is found among the Celts , the Mesopotamians and the Bible.

Unlike the text book or religious, the sacred text is considered the truth by describing the followers of the religion that is described.
