Etymology
The name of the city is due to the legend of twins Romulus and Remus , where the first killed the second, thereby earning the right to give his name to the city he built. Another hypothesis suggests that the name comes from the word Rome Rumon, name Etruscan of the Tiber , which would thus become "The River City" , .
Rome also has several nicknames, including the Urbs, Caput Mundi (capital of the world), The Eternal City, The City of Seven Hills and Limen Apostolorum ("threshold of the apostles").
