The Ramesseum is the funerary temple of Ramses II , located in the Theban necropolis , opposite Luxor in Egypt.

North of the Colossi of Memnon , located between the temple of Amenhotep II in the north and that of Tuthmosis IV in the south, on the left bank of Thebes "city of a hundred gates," is erected Ramesseum he remains today in ruins. It was discovered in the ^first century BC by the Greek historian Diodorus of Sicily , in his collections, he describes the "Tomb Osymandyas" as the most majestic of all Egypt " ^Photos
