The dynasty of the Ptolemies (or or Ptolemaic, is a dynasty pharaohs who ruled the ancient Egypt of -323 to -30.

The Macedonian general Ptolemy son of Lagos (hence the name "Ptolemaic"), was satrap of Egypt during the partition of the empire of Alexander the Great and he became king of the Greeks, the Egyptians for Pharaoh after the disappearance of his nominal suzerain and theoretical Alexander Aigos -309 in Cartridge Ptolemaic

The daughter of Ptolemy of Mauretania who married a freedman Marcus Antonius Felix was able to follow in the East where he made his career (prefect of Judea, as is attested in the Bible), strain born in the world can be Syrian from the wife of Odenatus Palmyra.
