Pool Pool
A pool is an artificial pond filled with water and sealed with dimensions allow a human being to dive at least partially.

Etymology
Despite the root Latin piscis (fish), the term pool today adopts the meaning of human activity pool (but only since 1865). Before the pool is the pool , the pond to raise fish.

Public Swimming Pools
Public pools are composed of one or several pools and access is usually paid.
Public pools in France covered generally include a pool of 25 meters in length, a width varying from 10 to 20 meters (some are narrower and some are larger).
An Olympic pool is a pool 50 meters long by 25 meters wide, which can be used for international competitions, including Olympic Games , its volume is about 3 000m.
In France, public pools are patrolled by lifeguards, appropriate for water rescue. They are holders of BEESAN (Patent of State Educator Level 1, Sporting Activities of Swimming) or the State Patent MNS (lifeguard). Pat State MNS has been deleted and replaced by BEESAN which also confers the title of lifeguard.
Holders of BNSSA can supervise a facility access fee provided that there is at least one BEESAN charge of the pool and providing surveillance. Therefore it is not uncommon for pools which, in the year, have a mixed workforce and BEESAN BNSSA.
The shortage of BEESAN (training is below the needs for surveillance of public swimming pools) and the gradual disappearance of the State Patent MNS pushed the government to authorize, under certain conditions for exemption, the owners of BNSSA (National Patent Security and Aquatic Rescue) to monitor (without BEESAN) of public pools for a period not exceeding 4 consecutive months. Monitoring a pool of paid access, in every possible case by BNSSA under the responsibility of a BEESAN.
The patentees state of MNS and BEESAN must pass every 5 years a CAEP MNS (Certificate of Fitness for the Professional Practice of lifeguard) for the right to exercise their profession. Both patents allow monitoring of river and swimming instruction against payment.
Holders of BNSSA must pass all the 5 year review of revision, which controls their ability to swim and rescue, to practice. This patent does not normally permitted and education (excluding exemption cited above) to watch swimming for free.
Outlook: While the pools are long remained mere pools, some have become aquatic centers increasingly sophisticated with various facilities such as games, water slides , pools where you can swim against the current, flowing rivers, the nozzles of the whirlpool or spa. Efforts are also on the quality of indoor air (seeking to reduce chloramines to their smell and their effect on health personnel, but in 2010, the PHMB , an alternative to chlorine, only develops slowly Private Pools Private pools rarely exceed 12 meters x 5 meters. Most often they are buried, but can be above ground (often even more compact dimensions). They are often flat-bottomed with a depth ranging between 1.20 and 1.60 meters, but exist with depths of about 2.50 meters, which can dive safely. Acquisition costs have generally declined since the early 1990s with the widespread use of pools kit. These are composed of modular panels of various materials covered by a liner. This is a waterproof cover pressed against the bottom and sides by the weight of water. Maintenance is significantly facilitated by the arrival of a new generation of products. French law requires since January 2006 the establishment of alarms for swimming pools that are not equipped or security gates, or automatic coverage, or shelter glass or polycarbonate, so as to avoid drowning accidental children under 6 years following falls in the basins. In 2008, the effectiveness of these alarms was questioned. The Consumer Safety Commission (CSC) established by the French Republic in 2008 tested six models of pool alarms sold in France. According to results released June 12, 2008, "A single alarm passes all tests successfully. Most do not detect a falling mass of 6 kg and sound level warning proved mediocre in four cases." . Different technologies are used for the construction of pools. It is possible to classify them into three categories according to the technique used for sealing: The construction is made of formwork or formwork types polystyrene blocks, concrete blocks etc. .... Sealing is achieved by a coating, coated with a waterproof membrane liner or type resin gelcoat , painted or tiled, which occurs less and less given the time of implementation and effectiveness of the waterproofing in time (depending on water temperatures and air treatment products, ...) The pool is composed of a shell piece composite materials placed in a hole on a bed of gravel about 10 cm and backfilled with gravel around it. Often finished with a belt to lay the concrete curbs. Some of these pools have nevertheless inserts. The term liner, of American origin, means a flexible envelope of independent media, waterproof, removable with its positioning as a copping coping. The liner is commercially produced alongside the basin, from cone PVC special pool that the strips are welded at high frequency. The installation of a liner requires the sealed parts in the pool (skimmer, main drain, backflow, broom making, projector, etc..) Are compatible and therefore equipped with gaskets and flanges sealing special. The quality of PVC (virgin) and its components (plasticizers, biocides, stabilizers ...) are essential for good aging characteristics of the waterproof coating. Several colors are available plain or printed and is available in different thicknesses: 50/100e, 60/100e, 75/100e 85/100e and . AFNOR standard in September 2005 specifies that the depreciable life of a liner is in the range of 5-15 years, subject to compliance with the recommendations of installation and maintenance ... under normal conditions of use. It is projected using the technique of Gunning or shuttered with a wall made of fiberglass, swimming pool technology in concrete offers the possibility of freedom of form. The floor is then covered with a coating generating aesthetic and confirming the impermeability of the basin. In the early twentieth century, particularly in Australia , sea pools were built, often on rocky, using the natural pools formed between the rocks, possibly enclosed by walls of masonry, the water being renewed through tanks supplied by the tide or simply by the waters of high tide. Sea pools exist today in other places, especially those without beaches, such as Madeira. The pond is a biological swimming pool decorated with plants providing natural filtration of water, and free of chemicals, and whose free form is surrounded by lush vegetation. The quality of pool water is a fundamental element of comfort to swimming as well as regards safety as the pleasure of bathing. It rests on two elements: Authorized by the DASS in public pools in France: the liquid chlorine and bromine liquid. The liquid version of bromine is difficult to find in France, it is believed that only the liquid chlorine is allowed. It is not easy to maintain water quality with the range of products on the market. These products often require precise calculations compared to the capacity of the basin and the indicator set: for example the pH , you should raise it to 0.2 units per transactions therefore do a lot of calculation. Over this pH varies frequency of bathing, the contribution of storm water. Pool water can be heated. For this, several solutions are possible: Gymnastics made in water is made by taking advantage of virtually weightless in the water body. The pools are shaped to do the exercises (small "channel" for example where the hand support on both sides can be done). They are low level, and can walk on the merits of doing full body movements to loosen joints as specified by the physiotherapist. The attendance of the basin is limited in small numbers of participants for strict rules of non-transmission of pathogens. Patients are monitored so as not to be carriers of communicable diseases. The pool is equipped with devices that allow patients access to water even in strong motor impairment. Pulsating water jet massage apparatus are installed on the edge, the massager can use a water hose detached. A spa pool (see hot spring ) is a heated pool that collects heat from a heat source underground. She is known for the therapeutic effects as for rehabilitative care, disability, etc..

Today we are witnessing in France, a process in which a growing number of owners of "traditional pools, now refusing the constraints related to maintenance of such equipment and use of chemicals like chlorine sometimes harmful health, do not hesitate to invest in order to transform their facilities into biological swimming pool which do not have these drawbacks. Then most of the products are perishable (such as chlorine) so do not really have in stock. Comfort
This heating in the latter case the installation can be made more efficient through use of an insulating cover (usually plastic bubble) floating directly on the surface of the water and thus isolating the surface. Heat loss by convection (wind) and radiation (starry night or day without the sun) are reduced. Swimming pools for medical use
