Nakba is one of the greatest archaeological Mayan elders. It is located in the department of Petn in Guatemala , about 13 km south of the Mayan city of El Mirador.
Excavations at Nakba suggest that the first settlements date back to about -1400 and that the site was important until its collapse around 100 to 200.
Nakba was surveyed in 1962 by Ian Graham. It is found shards of pottery on the ground braid of the mat, symbolizing the power: the Preclassic it was already in place.
Nakba includes 4 sacbeob (pavement communication) that archaeologists have called Mirador, Cascabel, Palma and Kan.
The ball game of Nakba was built in three stages, a first in -500 to -400.
There are three other Preclassic sites of minor importance in the vicinity of Nakba.
