Montana Colors (abbreviated MTN) is a Spanish , founded in Barcelona in 1994 , specializes in the design and manufacture of aerosol spray paint and markers specially designed for graffiti. It is located in Sant Vicen de Castellet , a municipality in the county of Bages district, Barcelona, Spain.
The company enjoys great popularity among writers for being the first brand European to have developed a spray (bomb) specially for them. Spanish market leader, was fourth in Europe , the brand is now distributed in thirty countries.

Creation and Beginnings
In 1993, Jordi Rubio is a young commercial director at Felton, an industrial painting company. In a market study on spray paints, it appears that a garden center, a store in Barcelona, makes sales far better than the others. Intrigued, he went there and discovered that the seller, called Moock, is a famous writer of the stage Graffiti Barcelona. Jordi Rubio immersed in a brutal world, a culture that makes a very different use of paint products, normally for the automotive industry and DIY.
Around the 1990s , a decade after the Spanish democratic transition , the Catalan capital saw Olympic euphoria. Music, visual arts, graphic, see the blossoming of young talent as the iconic Javier Mariscal from the world of fanzines and comics that rise from the underground to light by drawing Cobi, the mascot of iconoclastic Olympics summer of 1992.
Born in the street, graffiti explodes in New York in the early 1970s and after the leaden Franco , Barcelona became the bridgehead of the movement in its infancy in the Iberian Peninsula .
Following the growing demand, the leaders of the firm decided to outsource the manufacturing of the metal body of the bomb at the German firm Moltip Dupli and concentrate on painting, marketing and product design. Fire and Rebuilding On 7 June 2002 , the factory located on the town Catalan Vacarisses in the Valls Occidental was totally destroyed by fire of electrical origin. This accident was a casualty, severely burned, and put the company on the verge of bankruptcy. Patented invention in 1997 Controversy The same market, the German paint, Montana Cans uses the same name and part of the design of the bombs (the colored donut). Even if Montana Colors is the first to have emerged, this apparent plagiarism caused some confusion. There are 12 caps (head) interchangeable and adaptable to all the bombs of the brand of the finest (Super Skinny) for details, sharp lines, the outlines, the largest (Super Fat) to the bold lines and to cover large areas. A range of markers MTN Marker refillable, available in 10 colors (paint opaque water-based) and with different thicknesses of felt. Montana Color installs facilities to its sign under the name "Montana Shop & Gallery", intended primarily for the sale of his paintings range, but also other products around the Hip-Hop and Skate.
