Leonardo Lpez Lujn
Leonardo Lpez Lujn is an archaeologist and historian of Mexico , specializing in pre-Columbian civilizations of Mesoamerica , born in Mexico on 31 March 1964. He is the son of famous Mexican historian Alfredo Lpez Austin.

University education
He directed the beginning of his graduate studies between 1983 and 1987 to ENAH (National School of Anthropology and History in Mexico City), where he earned a degree in archeology by writing a thesis on the Templo Mayor of Mexico City Tenochtitlan under the leadership of Eduardo Matos Moctezuma. He then studied between 1992 and 1998 at the University of Paris X-Nanterre , where he earned a doctorate in anthropology and comparative sociology, prehistory option, writing a thesis on religion and politics Aztec religious anthropology called the Templo Mayor , Mexico: Home of the Eagles, led by Pierre Becquelin.
Collaborations
He is a member of the project since 1980 and since 2002 Templo Mayor Project Pyramid of the Moon. He was visiting scholar at Princeton University (1995) and the Muse de l'Homme in Paris. He was a visiting professor at the University of Paris I-Panthon-Sorbonne (2000) and the University of Rome La Sapienza. He is currently professor and director of studies at the ENAH of Mexico and took over from Eduardo Matos Moctezuma to the project management Templo Mayor.
