The Chapel is a station of Line 2 of the Paris metro and is situated on the edge of the 10 th and 18 th arrondissements of Paris.
Summary |
The station was opened in 1903. It is air, and it is possible to see, since the end of the platform, the roofs of the church of the Sacred Heart in Montmartre. A long corridor connects the correspondence, since 1993, the underground portion of the Gare du Nord.
The village of La Chapelle (also called La Chapelle Saint-Denis, given its membership in the Abbey of Saint-Denis ) was between the villages of Montmartre and Belleville. It takes its name from a chapel dedicated to Sainte Genevieve. It was annexed to Paris in 1860.
