Giorgio Sommer ( 1834 - 1914 ) is an Italian photographer of German origin. He made trips throughout Italy making photographs for catalogs and postcards.

He studied business at Frankfurt am Main , then decided to devote himself to photography. He settled in Italy in 1856 , first in Rome , where he worked for the workshop of Edmondo Behles and participated in exhibitions. Later he moved to Naples.
