Bailn or Baylen, is a common province of Jan ( Spain ), and located on the national A4. The town of Bailen has extensive industrial activity, including ceramics, export of wine and oil, and has an appropriate infrastructure for tourism.
The church, monument, church of Nuestra Seora de la Encarnacin was built in the fifteenth century -style Gothic , and is one of the most beautiful jewels of the city.

History
The town of Bailen is best known for his famous battle of Bailen after which the 19 July 1808 , the army of Joachim Murat commanded by General Pierre Dupont de l'Etang was defeated by the Spanish under General Francisco Castanos , Duke of Baylen. 20,000 soldiers French were captured, General Dupont was forced to sign the 23 July 1808 catastrophic capitulation of Bailen. Upon his arrival in France, General Smith was arrested and sentenced for treason and abandonment of military interests.
In 2008 the city celebrated the bicentenary of the Battle of Bailen.
