Glyph-emblem of Tikal

The concept emblem glyph- epigraphy Maya was developed by Heinrich Berlin. In 1958, the Mexican archaeologist Germano-published a seminal study on the subject in the journal "The Journal of the Society of Americanists" , with Tikal capital, which would have succeeded Postclassic in a "New Empire", directed by Chichen Itza.
