David Lloyd

David Lloyd (born 1950) is a British cartoonist.

It is famous for having designed the maxi-series V for Vendetta written by Alan Moore.

Biography

He began working in comics in the late 1970s, drawing for Halls of Horror, TV Comic titles and Marvel UK. with writer Steve Parkhouse , he created the character Night Raven.

When former Marvel UK editor Dez Skinn launched the magazine Warrior in 1982, he asked Lloyd to create a new character pulp. Lloyd and writer Alan Moore created V for Vendetta , series in which a flamboyant anarchist terrorist fighting a fascist government in an England devastated. After the end of Warrior in 1984, the series was reprinted and continued in color by DC Comics , graphic novels collected in 1995 and developed into a movie (released in 2006).

Lloyd also worked on Espers, with writer James Hudnall for Eclipse Comics , Hellblazer , with the writers Grant Morrison and Jamie Delano , and War Story, with Garth Ennis , for DC.

In recent years, he drew an episode of Global Frequency (# 6), but was mainly directed towards the European market with the two-part series Kickback published by Carabas , he fully realizes.
