Compluvium

Compluvium throughout the terminology of the elements of the Roman house.

The compluvium is the term Latin to designate the basin water collection consisting of the funnel slopes of a roof to collect rainwater.

These waters are then in the catchment area , basin dug into the ground, in the atrium of the habitat Etruscan and Roman.

This compluvium was supported by four corner columns and was of the same area as the catchment area.
