The columen is a term used in ancient architecture , designating the highest beam in the rafters of a roof, forming the crown piece that everything else ^Archaeology

The Etruscan tomb in their camera, simulated in the excavation of the main chamber, the roof with two slopes, and also columen in terracotta , often painted with decorative motifs (burial site of the necropolis Monterozzi ).
