The columen is a term used in ancient architecture , designating the highest beam in the rafters of a roof, forming the crown piece that everything else Archaeology

The Etruscan tomb in their camera, simulated in the excavation of the main chamber, the roof with two slopes, and also columen in terracotta , often painted with decorative motifs (burial site of the necropolis Monterozzi ).
