Samsun is a city of Turkey and the prefecture of the province of the same name History People have always been attracted by the combination of fertile ground and shallow waters for a port, Samsun has a long history. According to ancient myths, Samsun was the land of the Amazons , to the twelfth century BC. AD. The geographer (64 BC-23 AD) Strabo describes the Amazons as a nation of warrior women. AKS TV Alfa TV, Kanal 55, Bafra TV, Kanal S, Klas TV, television stations are owned by the city. Samsun is the most developed city in the region. The city is well connected to neighboring regions. The bus station or bus terminal is located in the city center. The port, in the city center, is used from June to August. Samsun airport is located 19 miles from city center The city is served by two rail Samsun, Sivas and Samsun, Amasya. The station is located in the downtown.
