Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves (full title: is a story of Arab origin. This is a story that is often presented as part of the Thousand and One Nights , though it has never been present in the original manuscripts but their sides Summary

Ali Baba is a poor woodcutter. Occupation of Iraq

With reference to the character described above, the name "Ali Baba" is often used as a term of slang by both the Americans and allied troops in Iraq to describe individuals suspected of crimes like theft and looting. Later the term was extended to the general resistance during the invasion of Iraq in 2003 and the occupation that followed, the same way that "Charlie" was the nickname of the Vietcong during the Vietnam War. Ironically, because trade between the two peoples, the term "Ali Baba" was adopted by the Iraqis to describe foreign troops suspected of looting, and the press speaking falsely described it as a slang word native.
